Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.

The Godhead (Trinity)

We believe there is one God, existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is the Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and virgin born, the Son of God, the one and only Savior, the Lord of all. Jesus is our risen Savior and has forever defeated death, hell, and the grave through His resurrection by God the Father.

We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, sacrificially died on the cross and shed His blood as the atonement for sin. God raised Him from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and He will visibly return in glory.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit, convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, His present ministry, His indwelling, His empowering, His impartation of gifts for today and His transforming power in the lives of all believers. (1 John 5:6-8; Philippians 2:6)

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; Acts 1:8; Mathew 3:11)

Salvation of Man

We believe that salvation is God’s gift of eternal life, presented to all who, by faith, accept Jesus Christ as Savior and receive spiritual new birth by the Holy Spirit. Salvation frees us from the power of the devil – sin, lies, sickness & torment.

Worship, Prayer, and Fasting

We believe in the importance of corporate worship, prayer, and fasting to position mankind to see the manifest glory of God.

Baptism and Communion

We believe in baptism by immersion and the administration of Holy Communion.

Marriage

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant made between one man and one woman, before God. This covenant was created by God in the Garden of Eden and confirmed by Jesus Christ. This sacred covenant as instituted by God is both endorsed and celebrated at Dunamis Church.
